Our Founder & Expertise

Clarity Ultrasound was founded by Clare Overton, a highly qualified sonographer with an MSc in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound from Birmingham City University. Clare has worked within the NHS across the UK since 2008, gaining extensive experience in a wide variety of clinical settings.

After beginning her career in the Midlands, Clare moved to the Southwest where she travelled and worked throughout Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset before settling in Exeter. Shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of living and working in Africa, spending time in Tanzania and South Africa teaching doctors and sharing best practice in ultrasound.

Returning to the UK, Clare and her family made Exeter their home. Her husband is now a partner in a local GP practice, their children attend local schools, and their dog enjoys regular walks along the beach. Alongside running Clarity Ultrasound, Clare continues to work in the NHS—a role she loves and values deeply.
